DMX Core 100

DMX Core 100 is a powerful DMX lighting controller available as dedicated wall-mount hardware and as desktop software for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It features a full browser-based Web UI for configuration and control, and supports up to 200 universes of DMX output over ArtNet, sACN, KiNet, and USB.

Two Workflows

The DMX Core 100 supports two primary workflows. Most installations use one or the other, though they can be combined.

Record & Playback

Use your existing lighting software (or any ArtNet/sACN/DMX-512 source) to design your shows, then record them as cues on the DMX Core 100 for automated playback. This is ideal when you have a lighting designer creating shows externally and want the DMX Core 100 to handle day-to-day playback.

You’ll primarily use: Recording to capture shows, Cues for playback, Schedules for automation, and Custom Menus for simple end-user control.

Fixture Control

Set up your light fixtures directly in the DMX Core 100, then build scenes, effects, and sequences without any external lighting software. This is ideal when you want an all-in-one system that handles both programming and playback.

You’ll primarily use: Fixture Setup and Zones to configure your lights, Fixture Control for interactive adjustments, Presets to save scenes, Effects for dynamic animations, and Timelines to sequence everything together.

Two Ways to Run

DMX Core 100 is available as dedicated hardware and as desktop software — both run the same software with the same features.

Dedicated Hardware

A standalone controller with a 4.3” touchscreen, mountable in a 2-gang electrical box or used freestanding with the optional desk stand. Powered over Ethernet (PoE) or 8-28 VDC input. Similar to Enttec S-PLAY, CueServer, and Pharos Control, but with a touch-friendly interface and complete remote access. See Installation to get started.

Desktop Software

Run the full DMX Core 100 software on your own Windows, macOS, or Linux computer — no dedicated hardware required. The desktop software provides the same capabilities, controlled entirely through the Web UI. Ideal for trying out the system, pre-programming shows, or running in environments where dedicated hardware isn’t needed. See Desktop Software for installation.

Two Ways to Control

Regardless of how you run it, the DMX Core 100 is operated through two interfaces:

  • Touchscreen (hardware only) — The on-device 4.3” display provides direct access to cues, presets, patterns, schedules, and settings using touch or the rotary knob. Ideal for day-to-day operation and locked-down environments.

  • Web UI (hardware and desktop) — A full browser-based interface accessible from any device on the same network. Provides access to all features including advanced capabilities like fixture control, effects, timelines, input triggers, user management, and more. See Connecting to the Web UI to get started.

Both interfaces connect to the same system — changes made in one are immediately reflected in the other.
